After a long career as a professional player between 1973 and 1987, Mauro Sandreani who was born in 1954 made his coaching debut at Padova in Serie B in 1991 after qualifying from Coverciano with top marks following experience gained as an assistant coach at Perugia and Padova. With Padova, he achieved his greatest result as the side was promoted to Serie A in 1993-94 and stayed up. He later managed Torino, Ravenna, Treviso and Tenerife before taking on a scouting role at Juventus (2004-09). He was then Head Scout (2011-13) before becoming a part of Antonio Conte’s technical staff in 2013, following Conte into international football.
