Today, at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano, a training update meeting was held for the coaches of the Italian men's youth national teams. The meeting was also attended by the 2006 World Champion Gianluigi Buffon, delegation head for the senior national team, the 1982 World Champion Giancarlo Antognoni, delegation head for the Under 21 team, and Fabio Andolfo, methodology expert for the Women's Area, along with newcomer Luigi Milani, who will handle scouting for the Under 14 team for Club Italia.
"It was an event filled with valuable insights", said Maurizio Viscidi, the coordinator of the Italian men's youth national teams, expressing his satisfaction. "The meeting took place during the FIFA international windows in September and October. This timing allowed us to review the matches we have played and prepare for those ahead. It was a day focused on growth, where we discussed the evolution of football and evaluated all the players on our radar for upcoming commitments".
The day began with special acknowledgements: "I wanted to thank everyone" said Viscidi, "one by one, because it was an honour and a point of pride to be called by UEFA to represent Club Italia in Berlin, showcasing the significant work that has led our youth national teams to achieve success in recent years (including second place at the Under 20 World Cup and the Under 19 European Championship in 2023, as well as the Under 17 title last June), all achieved through an attacking style of play".
