The FIFA TIMVISION eNational trials continue: another four places have been assigned for the finals in Coverciano

The online trials for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the FIFA20 TIMVISION eNational team keep on coming thick and fast. There are 16 places up for grabs for each of the two consoles for the finals on 28 and 29 March at the Federal Training Centre where the two players, one for PS4 and one for Xbox One, will represent the Italian FIFA 20 eNational TIMVISION side at the eNations Cup from 22 to 24 May in Copenhagen.

After the first four places for the finals were awarded at the beginning of February, last weekend there were 809 entries for the four tournaments played on PS4 and Xbox One, with players competing for four more places at the finals in Coverciano. It is a challenge that requires training, reflexes, concentration and endurance, as well as preparation similar to that which sportsmen undergo.

The big names in FIFA’s eFootball community have not missed out on the eNational Qualifying Tournaments and have shone through. Raffaele Cacciapuoti, aka ‘E_Caccia98’, was stellar. The Monza Calcio pro player managed to make his way in Saturday’s tournament, among 268 contenders, to the final where he faced Silvestro ‘Prestige1041’ Brown. Normal time finished 0-0 and so it was down to penalties to decide who would take part in the finals: the player from Monza won the shootout 4-3 and will face other FIFA superstars in a month’s time at Coverciano.

In the Xbox One tournament also held on Saturday, it was Parma Calcio’s Michele ‘AngryxMiche’ Tangredi who managed to overcome all others, beating Alessio ‘godmode’ Carbone from 0775 eSports 1-0 in the final.

In Sunday’s tournaments, the PlayStation 4 crown went to Renato ‘Karlovic10’ Terminiello from PlayStrong eSport after a rollercoaster of a final as he beat Renzo ‘Nzorello’ Parave 3-2. The Xbox One final saw the same result, Giovanni ‘Polik’ Polichetti (team MCES) the winner in his clash against Bologna’s Giacomo ‘BortoWins’ Bortolani.

The next set of offline selection tournaments will be held on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March and then Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 March (venues TBC), while the online tournaments will take place on Thursday 27 February and on the weekend of 7 and 8 March.
