Selection for the FIFA 20 TIMVISION eNazionale: a spot in the eNations StayAndPlay Cup up for grabs
The 32 winners from the round of qualification will compete online today to represent Italy in their upcoming fixtures. One of Mancini's Azzurri will also take part in the FIFA tournamentWednesday, April 15, 2020
Despite the postponement of the finals for the FIFA 20 TIMVISION eNazionale following a decision by Electronic Arts and FIFA to suspend the FIFA 20 Global Series (a circuit in which the FIFA eNations Cup forms a part) due to the spread of COVID-19, the FIGC’s engagements around the popular football video game have continued.
After more than 8,000 registered for the TIMVISION FIFA 2020 qualifiers, the 32 winners from this stage will compete this afternoon in another online tournament, with the winners (one for PlayStation and one for Xbox), representing Italy as long as the official FIFA 20 competitive circuit remains suspended.
Among other things, the winner of today's tournament on PlayStation will defend the Azzurri badge in the FIFA eNations StayAndPlay Cup over the coming days, a friendly tournament promoted by FIFA with the aim of reaffirming the commitment of world football in sharing positive messages at this difficult time. Each federation will participate with a team of two players, with our second being a player from Roberto Mancini's National Team, whose name will be announced by the FIGC in the coming days.
The FIFA eNations StayAndPlay Cup includes a first qualifying phase (21 and 22 April), a knockout phase (24 April) and a final phase scheduled for 25 April.
N.B. The finals to decide the two members of the FIFA 20 TIMVISION eNazionale will be held as soon as possible.
