FIFA eFootball Play x Unite 2020: Italy finish their group in third place but still hold hopes for the final

Plenty of goals and even more excitement on matchday two of the FIFA eFootball Play x Unite 2020 Cup, the international tournament on FIFA 20’s virtual pitches this summer. Our FIFA 20 eNazionale powered by TIMVISION, made up out of AC Monza’s eplayer Raffaele ‘Er_caccia98’ Cacciapuoti on PlayStation and Marco ‘TactualStrange’ Paolicelli on Xbox, finished off the group stage in third place, now having to win both of their games next Monday to reach the final. The Azzurri were beaten 3-2 by Belgium (2-0 defeat on PlayStation and a 2-1 win on Xbox) and 5-3 by Sweden (two losses, 2-1 on PlayStation and 3-2 on Xbox), but did end on a win with a 4-2 victory over Portugal (a 3-0 win for ‘Er_caccia98’ Cacciapuoti on PlayStation and a 2-1 defeat for ‘TactualStrange’ Paolicelli on Xbox), who sit first in the standings ahead of Sweden.

To reach the final, Italy will have to beat Belgium and then the winner of the tie between Portugal and Sweden. The final will then take place on Tuesday 21 July, with the winner of that facing the top nation from the other mini-tournament between England, Germany, Poland and Switzerland on Wednesday 22 July. The Azzurri’s games will all be broadcast live on TIMVISION, the eNazionale’s website and on the FIGC’s Twitch channel.
