Friday 31 March, 'Women in Football' conference

Next Friday, 31 March, at 11:00 CET, in the conference room of the Football Museum, the 'Women in Football' conference will be held: a talk to discuss the evolution of the female role within the sport. And talking about it will be three protagonists of Italian football such as the president of the Women's Football Division, Ludovica Mantovani; the federal councillor in LND's quota, Stella Frascà, and the member of the AIA National Committee - as well as national head of the Women Referee project - Katia Senesi.

"The Coverciano museum," highlighted the president of the Football Museum Foundation, Matteo Marani, "is a structure whose work is carried out, every day, by women. And even within the Board, the female presence is very strong. This is, therefore, a topic that is very dear to us".

Promoter of the initiative and moderator of the talk will be the Foundation's vice-president - and coordinator of the museum's Scientific Committee - Enrico Demarchi: "We decided to organise this conference," Demarchi commented, "not on 8 March, but on another date, precisely to highlight the cultural occasion, focusing on the theme and not the anniversary. The three speakers are women and professionals of great depth, with different experiences but all pertaining to the world of football: it will be a day of great appreciation for the women's football movement".

Some students from the 'Canadian School of Florence' will be present in the 'Mario Valitutti' conference room to attend the talk.

Note for media. Participation is open to journalists. Media wishing to attend are kindly requested to send an email to stampa.cov@figc.it to announce their attendance.
