The 2013 edition of the Italian Football Hall of Fame took place in the stunning setting of the Salone dei Cinquecento at Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio. Eight legendary figures from the history of the game joined the greats already in the Hall of Fame. They were: Franco Baresi (Italian Player), Gabriel Omar Batistuta (Foreign Player), Fabio Capello (Italian Coach), Massimo Moratti (Italian Director), Cesare Gussoni and Sergio Gonella (Italian Referees), Gianni Rivera (Italian Veteran), and the two-time World Cup winner Eraldo Monzeglio (posthumous award).
