UEFA Region's Cup draw: Liguria in a group with Croatia, Romania, and Malta
The Ligurians, winners of the Regions Tournament, will try to win Italy’s 4th trophy in the competition. The first round will be played in September 2024Thursday, December 7, 2023
The groups have been drawn in Nyon for the UEFA Region’s Cup. The European competition will see Liguria representing Italy after their win in the Toreno delle Regioni organised by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti. Liguria will also host the group stage in 2024, they have been drawn with Croatia, Romania, and Malta for the tournament that saw an Italian side win in 1999 (Veneto), in 2002/03 (Piemonte-Valle d'Aosta), and 2012/13 (Veneto).
36 federations are registered to participate with Malta and San Marino fielding amateur national sides. The rest of the nations will be represented by the winners of their respective qualifying competitions such as the Torneo delle Regioni. Albania will take part for the first time, whilst Armenia is back to compete after 12 years absent from the competition.
The draw was carried out by Antonio González from Galicia, the winner in 2023, who also received the Respect Fair Play award on behalf of his squad.

Group 5: Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Scotland, winner of Group A preliminary round
Group 6: Turkey, Hungary, San Marino*, Slovenia
Group 7: Spain, Bulgaria, Belorus, Moldavia
Group 8: Croatia, ITALY (Liguria), Romania, Malta*
The 8 winners of the intermediate round will qualify for the final phase which will be played in June and July of 2025.
