The Azzurri from the “ReTe Refugee Teams” project reached the quarter-finals after two wins and a draw in the group stage, before bowing out to defending champions Latvia. It was a strong collective performance, defined by teamwork and spirit.
On the occasion of the matches against Moldova and Norway, the Italian National Team will take to the pitch in support of over 5,000 AIRC researchers. Leading Team AIRC will be Gianluigi Buffon.
During an event held in Dakar attended by Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the FIGC contributed to a donation of sports equipment.
This morning, at the event’s opening session, FIGC President Gabriele Gravina took part, stating: “Amateur football shows vitality and passion every single day”
