FIGC President Gabriele Gravina and Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital President Tiziano Onesti have signed a new agreement to extend their collaboration until 2027, a partnership that began in 2015.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the Federation and the hospital, which over nearly 10 years has been enriched by numerous moments of solidarity and support. On several occasions, the Italian national team has visited Bambino Gesù ahead of matches in Rome, bringing great joy to the young patients. The FIGC has also promoted various initiatives for the hospital and its families, from donating medical equipment to delivering gift packages at Christmas and Easter, and even supporting the creation of the Pediatric Palliative Care Center in Passoscuro.
"In addition to being our longest-standing partnership," said Gravina, "the collaboration with Bambino Gesù is the Football Federation’s flagship initiative in the field of social responsibility. The broad and diverse projects we’ve developed over the years have deeply touched the hearts of our staff, including the national team players, and have qualified the Federation's activities, becoming a true best practice due to its multidimensionality. I am happy and proud to once again renew this agreement with the Bambino Gesù Foundation, and I thank President Tiziano Onesti for this."
"We are pleased," Onesti emphasised, "to continue a collaboration that has already brought so many joyful moments to our children, giving them the chance to meet their football heroes. We are confident that together we can continue to promote the shared values of health and well-being and raise awareness of the importance of welcoming children and families in need, which every year requires significant resources from the hospital."
