Croatia vs. Italy with the Community of Sant'Egidio on Vivo Azzurro TV

Celebrations for Mattia Zaccagni’s 98th-minute equaliser against Croatia were heard across the globe, as well as close to home. On Vivo Azzurro TV, the OTT platform from the FIGC available on App Store, Google Play and at www.vivoazzurrotv.it, the third episode of ‘Storie a tutto campo’ is online (in Italian), the initiative following EURO 2024. After the events for Italy vs. Albania and Spain vs. Italy, it was Croatia vs. Italy stopping by the Casa del Papa in Palazzo Migliori, the homeless shelter from the Community of Sant'Egidio (supported by Pope Francis). All those present were decked out on the terrace with Italy flags and hats in support of the National Team as they followed along on the big screen.

It was an emotional evening, with everyone besides one another supporting Italy from the anthems to the last-minute equaliser; the episode includes interviews with certain members of the Community and guests at the centre who were also cheering on Luciano Spalletti. Over the last festive season, the Head Coach supported the ‘Add a place to your table for Christmas’ campaign from the Community of Sant'Egidio before visiting the centre. The FIGC has also donated panettoni and pandori to the Community for their Christmas dinners over the years. And yesterday we shared on the magical evening with those at Sant'Egidio
