As announced by FIGC President Gabriele Gravina during Tuesday’s Federal Council meeting, Italy has submitted to UEFA a declaration of interest to host the 2029 edition of the Women's European Championship.
Germany, Poland and Portugal have also declared their interest in staging the 15th edition of UEFA’s flagship competition (the 15th edition will take place in Switzerland next summer), as have the football associations of Denmark and Sweden, who declared their interest together in a joint bid.
A decision regarding hosting rights for EURO 2029 will be made by the UEFA Executive Committee, which approved the joint application of Italy and Turkey to host the men’s EURO 2032 last year. The winning bid will be confirmed in December 2025.
