Situated between the hills of Florence, the Coverciano Technical Centre is a gem renowned worldwide for the quality of its structure and the services offered.
The Coverciano Technical Centre is still one of the most famous and prestigious sports center in the world. Appreciated especially by experts and fans, it’s even called “the University of Football” and “the home of the National Teams” and it includes:

Technical Centre management
Top Clubs or National Teams are often guests of the Centre, because they can find forefront venues and a sense of security and quiet, perfect instruments to get the right concentration.

To better respond to the needs of its guests, the Coverciano Centre is composed of:
Pitch 1: standard field, last generation (2016) synthetic turf and natural infill, with uncovered standing of about 300 seats.
Pitch 2: standard natural grass field with 350 seats covered standing and artificial lights; under the grandstand there are 4 changing rooms for athletes, a dressing room for referees and a medical room.
Pitch 3: main pitch, standard natural grass field, home of the National A trainings. Reserved changing room with Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and medical room.
Pitch 4: standard natural grass field with a reserved changing room.
Pitch 5: “practical” natural grass field, smaller than a regular one, used for the coaches’ school.
Futsal Pitch: standard futsal pitch with synthetic turf.
Sports Hall: Multifunctional gym for indoor sports, such as futsal, basket, volleyball etc. but also for ceremonies and conferences. It may have about 500 seats with a big space for coffee break area. Below the gym there’s 1 changing room, while 2 more changing rooms are nearby located.
National Teams Gym: Located between pitch 3 and 4, was built in 2014 and it’s provided with the best gym equipment.
Lecture Hall “G. Ferrari”: Theatre-room of the Centre, with 150 seats, predisposition to the screening, it has a reserved sound system and light control, even directly from the speaker’s desk.
“Righetti” Room: Meeting room equipped with a large round table and 25 seats. Predisposition to the screening on a FHD 84’ TV.
“Foresteria” of the Hotel: staircasing teaching room of about 50 seats, predisposition to screening and tactical blackboard.  
Library: over 3500 texts including books, articles, essays covering every aspect of sports, especially about football.
Hotel & restaurant: 53 double rooms and a restaurant with 150 seating capacity for the Center’s guests.
 
THE HOME OF THE NATIONAL TEAM
The Technical Center is the real home of the Italian national teams. There are 18 national teams, 16 of which made their training and preparation in Coverciano. Women’s team and youth sector teams often play friendly match in the Technical Center again other national teams. The Centre even host the tournaments for the selection and the development of young talent that might wear the blue jersey in the future. During the season, more than 400 athletes and staff members of the Italian national teams are guests of the Coverciano Technical Centre.
The presence of one or more national teams in the Centre and the possibility to attend a friendly match is always reported on the Federation website (www.figc.it).
 
 
HOW TO REACH US
Not everyone has the opportunity to enter the Federal Technical Center, but the invitations are regulated by the Management of the Centre.
The entrance of the Technical Center is located in Florence, Via D'Annunzio 138 and can be reached:
By car
On the A1 highway, both north and south, exit at FIRENZE SUD exit, then follow the road signs indicating the Federal Technical Center (CTF) (about 5 km. From the highway).
From the City center, Piazza della Signoria (5 km), the Technical Center can be reached by taxi (15 minutes travel time)
By train
From the station of Florence Santa Maria Novella (7 km) the Technical Center can be reached by taxi (about 20 minutes travel time) or bus line 10.
By train: from the station of Florence Campo di Marte, the station next to Artemio Franchi stadium, (4 km) the Technical Center can be reached by taxi (about 10 minutes travel time) or bus line 10.
By plane
From the international airport Amerigo Vespucci in Florence (25 km). The Technical Center is accessible from the airport by taxi (about 30 minutes travel time) or via bus 23 and, therefore, line 10.
From the international airport Galileo Galilei in Pisa (95 km). The Technical Center is accessible from the airport by taxi (about 60 minutes travel time), via train from Pisa airport station to Florence Santa Maria Novella or Florence Campo di Marte or via private bus companies.
From the international airport Guglielmo Marconi in Bologna (120 km). The Technical Center is accessible from the airport by private bus companies or trian.
