The Under-17 National Team’s first competitive matches of the new season are just around the corner following on from their get-together in mid-August, when they held a training camp for five days at Coverciano and faced Fiorentina Under-17s (a 3-1 win thanks to a brace from Inter forward Gnoto and a goal from Empoli midfielder Baldanzi).
Head Coach Daniele Zoratto has called up 20 players for the Four Nations Tournament, which will take place next week in Germany: Italy, who at the end of October will look to negotiate the first phase of European qualification in Luxembourg, will play their opening game on Thursday 5 September (at 11:00 CEST) in Duisburg against Israel before matches against Germany (on Saturday 7 September at 15:30 CEST) in Wulfrath and Belgium (on Monday 9 September at 11:00 CEST) in Duisburg.
Four players have been called up for the first time for the Under-17s: Fiorentina defender Daniele Ghilardi, Empoli midfielders Duccio Degli Innocenti and Jacopo Fazzini and Atalanta midfielder Federico Zuccon.
