World Cup qualifiers: Two fixtures with Croatia in Karlovac and Castel di Sangro

After the opening match against Moldova, scheduled for Friday 17 September at Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste, the women's national team's qualifying journey for the 2023 World Cup continues with two matches against Croatia. The first match will take place on Tuesday 21 September in Karlovac, while on Friday 22 October Milena Bertolini's Azzurre host the Croatians at Stadio Teofilo Patini in Castel di Sangro, where they beat Romania in 2017 and Malta in 2019.

Italy and Croatia, who occupy the 14th and 56th positions of the FIFA rankings respectively, have met twice so far, with both matches coming in the qualifiers for the 1997 European Championship, and the head-to-head record is one victory for the Azzurre and one draw.
