Thanks to their play-off victories, Haiti, Portugal and Panama are the final countries to seal qualification for the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Haiti and Panama are in Group D and F, respectively, and will play their group games in Australia in July. Instead, Portugal are to be based in Aotearoa in New Zealand as they join reigning champions, the USA, in Grou E.
Among the 32 teams who have qualified are Italy, who have been placed into Group G alongside Sweden, Argentina and South Africa. The Azzurre open up their campaign in Auckland on 24 July (07:00 CET) against Argentina; then, they face Sweden and South Africa in Wellington on 29 July (08.30 CET) and 2 August (08:00 CET), respectively.
FIFA General Secretary Fatma Samoura said: "I'm proud to be able to welcome Haiti, Portugal and Panama to the ninth edition of the Women's World Cup. All three nations will bring with them colour and enthusiasm, in a tournament that always captures the imagination of fans across the globe."
