Rai, in agreement with FIFA and EBU (European Broadcasting Union), has acquired the rights to show exclusive free-to-air viewing of the 2023 Women's World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia and New Zealand from 20 July to 20 August 2023, in Italy.
The package includes 15 games during the tournament, with the opening game, two semi-finals, the final and all of Italy's First Team matches all set to be shown. This broadcasting agreement with FIFA also extends to include "FIFA Other Events 2024/2027", namely both the Men's and Women's U17 and U20 Youth World Cups and some FIFA documentaries about the Women's World Cup.
“We are happy to have reached this aggreement to show the Azzurre's adventure in the next World Cup with Rai and FIFA," said FIGC president, Gabriele Gravina. "It represents an important step in further promoting the Women's game, where we are making big strides forward in our country."
