The players in the Women's National Team are supporting Race For The Cure 2019. It's one of the main events against breast cancer in Italy and the world, organised by Associazione Susan G. Komen Italia and funds raised will go to prevention and research projects.
Last year, 70,000 people took part in the event which featured four days of sport, health and charity work. Since yesterday, it has been at the village by the Circo Massimo and it will remain there until Saturday 18 May. On Sunday 19 May, there will be a 5km run and 2km walk through the centre of Rome.
Inside the village, it will be possible to receive free medical advice. There will also be free workshops on healthy living, fitness and nutrition to promote a healthy lifestyle. Through a video and photos, players from the Women's National Team are encouraging fans to support the Race and take part in the fundraising activities before they play in the World Cup finals in France.
