One month on from the wins against Moldova and Croatia in the first two games in Group G, the Azzurre are ready to continue their 2023 World Cup qualifying campaign. On Friday 22 October, Italy take on Croatia again, this time at the Stadio Teofilo Patini in Castel di Sangro (17:30 CEST) before they head to Vilnius to take on Lithuania on the 26th (17:30 CEST).
The team will meet in Roma on Sunday and travel to Castel di Sangro the following day to begin prep work. Milena Bertolini has called up 25 players for these two games. The new faces are Katja Schroffenegger, Giada Greggi – she scored in the Azzurre’s game at the Patini two years ago – and Alia Guagni, who is finally back after spending over a year away from the team due to various injury problems. Not called up meanwhile was Manuela Giugliano, who is still suffering from the same knee injury that forced her to miss the trip to Croatia.
Media accreditations: we would like to make media members are that, from today and until Wednesday 20 October (12:00 CEST), the accreditation process for the game in Castel di Sangro will be running exclusively via our online portal: www.accreditations.figc.it.
