Viscidi attends the UEFA Technical Directors workshop:

A significant recognition for Club Italia. The Coordinator of the Men's Youth National Teams, Maurizio Viscidi, was invited as a speaker to the prestigious UEFA Technical Directors workshop in Berlin. Viscidi took the stage for a Q&A session aimed at explaining the football model that has enabled the Azzurrini to excel internationally, as evidenced by their successes, including winning the Under-19 European Championship in Malta in 2023 and the Under-17 European Championship in Cyprus last season, along with a second-place finish in the recent Under-20 World Cup in Argentina.

"This recognition is something UEFA wanted to give to Club Italia,” stated the proud Coordinator of the Men's Youth National Teams. “I was invited to explain how we have managed to reach the final stages of both the Under-19 and Under-17 categories for five consecutive seasons while promoting an attacking style of play.”

He noted a shift in mentality over time: “I’ve realised, looking at my colleagues, that I am the most long-standing among them. This has allowed me to provide continuity to a project that has enabled us to strengthen our areas of Match Analysis, Performance, and Scouting, where we are ahead of other national teams.”

Another area where we stand out compared to our sporting rivals is undoubtedly in the Youth Championships. The 2011 reform, which separated Serie A and B teams from those in Serie C, has greatly enhanced the level of our youth competitions.” Viscidi continued, “Receiving the invitation via email was a tremendous honour, as it signifies that both UEFA and my colleagues and competitors have acknowledged our growth over the years. I am proud to have represented Club Italia in Berlin”
