The Under-19 National Team, after being defeated by Spain in the semi-finals of the last European Championship, is set to start the new season with a double friendly test against Slovenia, scheduled for Tuesday, 6 August (18:00 CEST) at the 'Giuseppe Morigi' municipal stadium in Manzano, and Thursday, 8 August (11:00 CEST) at the City Stadium in Ajdovščina.

There are 23 players called up by Alberto Bollini, all born in 2006 except for six from 2007 (Matteo Cocchi and the five Under-17 European champions: Cristian Cama, Federico Coletta, Christian Garofalo, Mattia Mosconi, and Emanuele Sala). The coach returns to lead the Under-19 team, with which he won the continental title in Malta in 2023, after a season at the helm of the Under-20 team, during which he won the latest edition of the Elite League, the third consecutive title in the history of the Azzurrini (2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024).
