Under 18: Inter vs Roma postponed, Fiorentina benefit and are now top of the table

It was meant to be the weekend of Inter vs Roma, but due to positive covid tests from players involved, the game has been postponed. Fiorentina are the team to have benefitted most from this, as the only team to have won on Sunday and therefore now find themselves at the top of the table. In the match against Parma, all the action came in the second half: first an own goal from Farucci, and then Sené scored his second goal of the season.

It wasn't great for Sassuolo, Atalanta and Genoa, though, the teams who were on the same footing with Fiorentina before the last matchday. What's more, the Neroverdi risked taking home no points at all from the match against Lazio, having gone behind twice and only getting a late equaliser in injury time with a goal from Biondelli. Mancino and Ferrara, the two players that made it 1-1, didn't disappoint, and Cavallini scored an own goal in his third appearance in the competition. The final result of Atalanta vs Monza was also 1-1, with the Biancorossi drawing for the fourth time in four games: it was Caccavo who responded to Falleni's goal, equalising for Monguzzi's side. Genoa vs Torino, at 0-0, was the third draw of the day.

The fifth test match for the other groups in the Youth Sector of the Campionati Giovanili Nazionali is Juventus vs Inter, with what should be a great match scheduled for the two U17 sides.

In the Under 17s Italy derby it was the Bianconeri who triumphed in a 5-3 victory, but the Nerazzurri were defeated in their two clashes against Genoa (3-1 for the Under 16s and 2-1 for the Under 15s). It was a perfect weekend for the Rossoblu, who made it a hat-trick, winning 7-0 against Pro Vercelli; similarly, Lazio didn't lose a single point against Grosseto and Paganese. AC Milan and Roma, however, got only one win each in their two fixtures.

There were several test matches in Emilia Romagna, most coming from the triple fixture between Bologna and Parma: the Ducali got only one win with the Under 16s (2-1) but fell short in the other categories (4-1 in the Under 17s and 5-1 in the Under 15s). Sassuolo got some good results away from home, beating Ravenna twice and drawing 1-1 against SPAL. Alma Fano Under 16s won an overwhelming victory against the San Marino side for their age group: the final score was 16-2, with another win for the Marchigiani Under 15s side and a draw for the Under 17s.

Victories from Napoli and Avellino in Campania against Turris and Cavese, respectively, finished off the day, alongside the two triple fixtures of Udinese vs Cittadella e Virtus and Entella vs Empoli. In the former, the Bianconeri won only one game against the two Grenata sides, and in the latter, the Tuscans came home with two draws and one win.
