The Azzurri's preparations for their two upcoming Euro 2024 qualifers against Malta and England continue at Coverciano. Yesterday afternoon, Spalletti's set of players trained on the pitch titled 'Vittorio Pozzo'. All the players took part in the session, as well as Fiorentina keeper Tommasso Vanucchi, except Federico Chiesa, who is following a personalised recovery programme.

Watching on from the sidelines for the first part of training was UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, alongside FIGC President Gabriele Gravina. The officials have been confirmed for the game on Saturday evening: in charge of the fixture is Croatian Duje Stukan, and he will be assisted by fellow countrymen Bojan Zobenica and Alen Jaksic, while the fourth official is Fran Jovic.
