UEFA president Ceferin watches the Azzurri train at Coverciano

The Azzurri's preparations for their two upcoming Euro 2024 qualifers against Malta and England continue at Coverciano. Yesterday afternoon, Spalletti's set of players trained on the pitch titled 'Vittorio Pozzo'. All the players took part in the session, as well as Fiorentina keeper Tommasso Vanucchi, except Federico Chiesa, who is following a personalised recovery programme.

Watching on from the sidelines for the first part of training was UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, alongside FIGC President Gabriele Gravina. Ceferin, who came to Florence to assist in opening Fiorentina's new training ground complex, Viola Park, met with the players and Luciano Spalletti together with the Vice-Secretary of Europe's governing body, Giorgio Marchetti, and UEFA Chief of Football, Zvominir Boban. The Head Coach and the Head of Delegation Gianluigi Buffon – back at Coverciano today following his involvement in Nyon for the announcement of Italy and Turkey co-hosting Euro 2032 - presented President Ceferin a personalised Azzurri shirt.
