U19 EURO: Mannini and Di Maggio Named in Team of the Tournament
The U19 European Championship in Northern Ireland concluded last Sunday, with Spain defeating France 2-0 in the final after eliminating Italy in extra time in the semi-finals. This victory marked Spain's ninth title in 21 editions, confirming their status as King of the competition. The Spanish team, with Iker Bravo also winning the tournament’s Best Player award, has the highest representation in the Team of the Tournament selected by the UEFA technical observers.

The Team of the Tournament features Iker Bravo, along with defender Yarek Gasiorowski, midfielder Gerard Hernández, and fellow forward Dani Rodríguez from Spain. France, the finalists, are also well-represented with three players: defender Jérémy Jacquet, midfielder Valentin Atangana, and forward Saimon Bouabre. Italy follows Spain and France with Mattia Mannini, who was utilized by Corradi both as a right-back in a four-man defence and as a midfielder in a three-man setup, and Luca Di Maggio as the two representatives for the Azzurrini. The final spots in the Top 11 are filled by one player each from Ukraine (goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapyvtsov) and Türkiye (defender Berkay Yilmaz).

The Top 5 goals of the Tournament have also been published, featuring Italy prominently. The goals by Marco Romano (in the Ukraine vs. Italy match, 3-2) and Luca Di Maggio (in the 2-1 victory over Norway) are certainly among the most memorable moments of the entire tournament.
