The second match of the friendly double-header between Italy U18s and Belgium finished in a 1-1 draw at the Proximus Basecamp in Tubize following the Azzurrini’s 1-0 victory three days ago.

Daniele Franceschini’s side took a 51st-minute lead through Bochum striker Alessandro Adriano Crimaldi, but Club Brugge midfielder Lucas Delorge Knieper levelled matters with 74 minutes on the clock.

“The lads delivered another fantastic performance in all respects,” said the Head Coach. “Despite the fact we lined up with a completely different side compared to three days ago, the team had the same attitude. Regardless of the result, we approached the match with the right mentality in both the first and second half, and I’m very happy with the lads. These matches help us expand the pool from which the U19s can draw next season, with the work of Club Italia being a systemic effort.”
