Make it three wins from three games in the qualifying round. Italy U19 are through after winning every group game.
Against hosts Slovenia, Nunziata’s boys ran out 3-1 winners in Gornja Radgona. They took the lead in the seventh minute thanks to a Zajsek own goal and doubled their advantage twelve minutes later through Fabbian. Casadei was sent off ten minutes from half time but, despite being a man down, Gnonto added a third for Italy after the break (56’). Bunic did grab a late consolation goal for the hosts (84’) and it ended 3-1.
The Azzurrini are through to the Elite Round in spring, with a place in the finals in Slovakia up for grabs.
