After the resounding success in their debut match played on September 10 at Castel di Sangro against Luxembourg (5-0), the Under-21 National Team are set to resume their path towards European qualification. Head Coach Paolo Nicolato will announce his squad for the two games against the Republic of Ireland and Armenia next Friday, 4 October, with the matches scheduled for 10 October at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin (20:05 local time, 21:05 CEST) and Monday 14 October at the FFA Academy Stadium in Yerevan (20:30 local time, 18:30 CEST).The squad will meet on Sunday evening and depart for Dublin the next day, beginning their preparations that same afternoon. The team will then leave for Armenia on Friday 11 October, the day after the match against the Republic of Ireland.

The Azzurrini then have two more qualifying matches scheduled for November, with the Stadio Paolo Mazza in Ferrara (16 November at 18:30 CET) and the Stadio Angelo Massimino in Catania (19 November at 18:30 CET) hosting the matches with Iceland and Armenia respectively.
