The TIMVISION PES eNazionale are showing some positive signs as the UEFA eEURO 2020 finals approach. With a week to go until the first virtual European Championship in history, a tournament which will take place on Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer on PlayStation 4 on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May, Italy came out on top in the eNations Friendly Cup, a four-sided friendly tournament also involving Germany, Luxembourg and Finland.

It’s a triumph that will undoubtedly have given the Azzurri even more confidence, especially as they were up against two other European Championship finalists in Germany and Luxembourg and a Finnish side who have always been tough opponents in the eFoot world and narrowly avoided qualifying for the UEFA eEURO 2020 finals after falling short the playoffs.

The team consisting of  Rosario ‘Npk_02’ Accurso, Nicola ‘nicaldan’ Lillo, Carmine ‘Naples17x’ Liuzzi and Alfonso ‘AlonsoGrayfox’ Mereu started the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Luxembourg. The Azzurri then beat Finland 2-0 in their second match before a thrilling 4-4 draw against Germany followed. This meant that Italy finished top of the group on five points, one ahead of both Luxembourg and Germany. Thanks to their win against the Germans, the Luxembourgers qualified for the final, which saw the Azzurri record a comfortable 3-0 victory to win their first ever tournament in their young history.
