Palermo’s Stadio Renzo Barbera will host Italy Women for their World Cup 2023 qualifier against Switzerland on Friday 29 November (17:30 CEST).
Milena Bertolini’s side will, beforehand, play two other qualifying games in Group C, in which they are joint top with Switzerland and Romania. On 22 October, they take on Croatia in Castel di Sangro before heading to Vilnius to play Lithuania on the 26th.
The Azzurre have played three times in Palermo already, winning them all. Most recently (8 October 2019), Gama and Co defeated Bosnia in front of 5,000 spectators.
Italy have played Switzerland 27 times and the Azzurre clearly lead the head-to-head with 20 wins. Their last meeting was in 2019 when Galli, Girelli and Sabatino left their mark on the final friendly ahead of the World Cup in France.
