They have arrived. The 'Fantastic Five' number 10s have entered the gates of Coverciano, the iconic entrance of the Federal Technical Center, "to attend a training session and thus encourage the players to elevate their performance," as requested by coach Luciano Spalletti just over a month ago.

Giancarlo Antognoni, Roberto Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero, Gianni Rivera, and Francesco Totti have arrived at the Azzurri training camp, on a day that exudes an almost mystical aura in the presence of these true legends of Italian football.

In one of the symbolic places of Coverciano, where images of great Azzurri triumphs adorn the walls, in the main hall of the Technical Center, the 'Fantastic Five' met with the team. They were introduced by Spalletti and the president of the federation, Gabriele Gravina. The Azzurri legends spoke, while the national team players sat in the audience, listening in reverent silence, eager to capture and absorb every word.

First, however, the session begins with a video: on the screen of the main hall, goals and great plays of these five extraordinary champions are projected, while the applause of today's Azzurri players punctuates the images.

"Let me just thank these number tens, these extraordinary guys of yesteryear and men of today, for accepting the invitation that comes from an idea of the coach," emphasizes Gravina, while Spalletti highlights. "We all need idols to emulate. From their presence here, you can see their attachment to the Azzurri National Team. We must live up to history. We have faith in you. It's true, there might be a bit of fear about wearing this history-laden jersey. But rest assured. it's the opponents who should be more afraid of this jersey".

Totti joked: "You guys said that every boy here should take a piece of each of us... but in the end, if that's the case, who's gonna run?" Then, getting serious again, he advises: "You have a great coach and a great staff, and you can take the field to win, having fun." Del Piero agrees: "It's true, there's pressure, but you have a great opportunity, which you'll remember with a smile. You'll compete with the best, and there's nothing more beautiful than the challenge".

Rivera highlighted how "Being here is always a commitment," and Antognoni also tries to offer helpful advice: "Go onto the field calmly." Then Roberto Baggio speaks up and, looking at the players, says to them: "The biggest enemy is the responsibility when wearing this jersey. Either we face it or we lose. Have joy in giving everything you have inside.

Buffon concluded with, as also emphasised by Spalletti, "he is the sixth number ten here today. Because he was a true number ten, but in goal: "For me, it's an epochal day, and it should be for you too. I hope you can understand that".
