The build-up to the World Cup continues: friendly against Austria in Lignano Sabbiadoro on 11 November

The lead-up of the National Women's team towards the World Cup will resume in November with two friendly matches. After the excellent performance in the fixture against Brazil, Milena Bertolini's team is now waiting for a double engagement that will allow the coach to continue preparations ahead of the World Cup. Friday, November 11th at 17:30 CEST (live on Rai 2) at the stadio 'Guido Teghil' of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy will face Austria, while two days later they will fly to Belfast where on Tuesday, November 15th (20:00 CEST Italian time, live on Rai Sport + HD) at the 'Seaview' the match against Northern Ireland is scheduled.

The National Women’s team will play at the stadio ‘Teghil’ of Lignano Sabbiadoro, which has hosted various male youth team matches in the past. Past meetings with Austria reflect well on the Azzurre, having won four of the five matches, including the
last one in June 2021. Also, the record against Northern Ireland, beaten in all three matches played so far, is more than favourable.
