Luciano Spalletti is amongst the candidates for the Best Coach Award this evening in London (20:30 CET, streaming on FIFA+) for the eighth instalment of The Best FIFA Football Awards that will crown the best of football in 2023. Current Italy Head Coach, Luciano Spalletti, who won the Scudetto last season with Napoli, is nominated alongside the two managers that reached the Champions League final last time round, Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Simone Inzaghi (Inter). The three finalists were chosen by an international jury comprised of Men’s National team coaches and their captains, football journalists, and fans who were able to vote on the official FIFA website.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Male Footballer (finalists Haaland, Mbappe and Messi), Best Female Footballer (Bonmati, Caicedo and Hermoso), Best Male Goalkeeper (Bounou, Courtois and Ederson), Best Female Goalkeeper (Arnold, Coll and Earps), and Best Women’s Coach (Giraldez, Hayes and Wiegman). The winners of the FIFA Puskas Award, FIFA Fair Play Award, and FIFA Fan Award will also be announced and the final selection of the best 11 male and female players from a list of 23 candidates each will be made to create their respective top 11 FIFA FIFPRO.
