The Azzurri visit the Santobono Pausilipon Paediatric Hospital

The desire to give a smile, the power of football: this afternoon, as soon as the Azzurri team arrived in Naples, a delegation of the national team went to the Santobono Pausilipon Children's Hospital to visit the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychiatry and neuro-oncology wards.

The group, led by the president, Gabriele Gravina, and the general secretary of the FIGC, Marco Brunelli, was received by Rodolfo Conenna, general director of the Santobono Pausilipon hospital, Anna Maria Ziccardi, president of the Santobono Pausilipon Foundation, and Flavia Matrisciano, director of the Santobono Pausilipon Foundation.

"The Italian national team represents a positive symbol of our country," declared FIGC president Gabriele Gravina upon their arrival at the hospital, "not only from a sporting point of view, but above all from a moral and social one. For this reason, the Federation has also organised an Azzurri visit to the hospitalised children in Naples. We want to bring a smile and solidarity, knowing that we will receive much more in humanity, determination and courage".

The visit - with footballers Acerbi, Bonucci, Di Lorenzo, Donnarumma, Gnonto, Pessina and Politano handing out balls and toys, and chatting with the young hospitalised patients - follows a path that the FIGC has been following for years in the cities where they play.
