The Stadio Carlo Castellani in Empoli will host the Women’s National Team on 27 October, when the Azzurre take on Denmark in a qualifying match for Euro 2022.
In fact, the Carlo Castellani will also play host to the Azzurre’s next Euro 2022 qualifier against Israel on 17 September (20:45 CEST), while they take on Bosnia and Herzegovina on 22 September in Zenica.
Italy are currently top of group B with six wins from six games - against Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Malta (the Azzurre have faced both the latter two sides home and away). The aim over the next two matchdays is to take as many points as possible before an all-important clash with the Danes, who have won five of their five matches so far and have a better goal difference than the Azzurre.
The Azzurre’s last game against Denmark was on 13 July 2013, when Italy, under Antonio Cabrini, won 2-1 (goals from Gabbadini and Mauro) in the Euros.
