Between training sessions, smiles and family matches, the Azzurre preparation continues in view of the match against Colombia, scheduled on Tuesday at 16.30 CEST (live on figc.it, on the Figc YouTube channel and on the Facebook and Twitter pages of the National team) at the Tre Fontane stadium in Rome. The match against the South American side, fresh from a 5-2 defeat to France that ended a nine-match win streak, will take place one hundred days before the start of the World Cup. The thoughts of Milena Bertolini's team are already turned towards the rainbow tournament and the goal is to get going towards New Zealand.
To win a place on the list of 23 who will fly to the 'land of the long white cloud' at the beginning of July - Aoetaroa, as the Maoris call it - is the hope shared by the 28 players called up for the Coverciano meeting, which will continue until Monday, the day the National Women's team will move to Rome, where they have not played for 20 years.
After yesterday's match - two 30-minute halves in which the coach gave space to the entire squad in addition to a few girls engaged in these days with Nazzarena Grilli's Under 23 team - this morning the group returned to training for a light training session. The players will train tomorrow as well, with the Azzurri's Easter break after six intense days of work that will be characterised by a morning on the pitch - technical-tactical session in view of Tuesday's match - and an afternoon of rest, to recover energy before facing the vice-champions of the Copa América 2022: a match to be won in order to achieve the second consecutive success and to continue with more and more confidence the path towards the world appointment.
