After their convincing win over Lithuania yesterday, the Azzurre returned to the training pitch at Collecchio this morning to begin their preparations for their next fixture. It’s a crucial showdown, too: at 17:45 CEST on Tuesday, they’ll face Switzerland in a six-pointer that will go a very long way to determining who will finish top of the group and thus achieve automatic qualification for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Tomorrow, Italy will return to the Tardini to train in the morning. Following their first fantastic experience at Parma’s stadium, the Gialloblù published the following message to thank the FIGC, the players and the whole Azzurre delegation: “Thank you, girls. Keep it up! Thank you for choosing Parma. We will always welcome you with open arms because this is your home.”
In the afternoon, the team will depart for Thun, the town that will host the game against the Swiss. Benedetta Glionna won’t be involved: the Roma attacker injured her right thigh in training before the Lithuania match and has returned to her club.
