After heading to Inter and Como Women last week, Andrea Soncin has paid a visit to the capital as he continued his tour of Women’s Serie A sides. The Italy Women’s National Team Head Coach attended training sessions with both Lazio and Roma who are at work ahead of the derby on Friday at the Stadio Mirko Fersini in Formello (21:00 CEST, live on Rai Sport and DAZN) which will kick off their league campaigns.

Accompanied by assistant Viviana Schiavi, Athletic Coach Mattia Toffolutti and Match Analyst Guido Didona, the Head Coach started his day at the Lazio headquarters. The Azzurre representatives attended the Biancocelesti training session with coach Gianluca Grassadonia before wishing the players luck for the coming season. In the afternoon, Soncin met with coach Alessandro Spugna at the CPO Giulio Onesti and the many Azzurre players who wear a Roma shirt, before observing the reigning Italian Champions’ training session alongside Betty Bavagnoli, Giallorossi Head of Women’s Football.

In the coming days, the Head Coach will continue the tour that represents an important moment for exchange between club and National Team staff, organised with the aim of fostering a closer relationship between Club Italia and the ten sides in the Women’s Serie A. On Thursday, it will be Juventus’ turn under new coach Massimiliano Canzi with the tour then continuing after the start of the league season (Friday at 18:00 CEST, Fiorentina vs. Napoli Femminile) in view of the Euros in Switzerland in July 2025.
