Yesterday evening, Italy Women met at Coverciano to begin their preparation for the two friendlies against Iceland, which will be played on Saturday 10 and Tuesday 13 April, at the Stadio Enzo Bearzot, one of the four pitches within the grounds of the Federal Technical Centre.

Head Coach Milena Bertolini is without the three Sassuolo players – Filangeri, Lenzini and Orsi - after they were placed into quarantine after the positive case of COVID-19 in the Neroverdi’s squad and Bonansea. Bertolini has decided to remove them from the squad list. In their place, Roma defender Tecla Pettenuzzo and her club teammate Angelica Soffia have joined the group. This is the Giallorosse midfielder’s first call-up to the national team.
