The objective is to finish the Elite League adventure on a high note. The Under 20 National Team has arrived in Romania, and on Thursday at 18:00 CET in Targoviste, they will face the Romanian counterparts in the last fixture of a tournament that has seen Alberto Bollini's team win four out of five matches so far, with the only draw obtained in the opening game against Germany. Italy have already claimed the last two editions and is close to winning the competition for the third consecutive time.
"The two days of work at Coverciano went very well - Bollini's words, who, in today's technical meeting, remembered Fiorentina's general director, Joe Barone, who passed away yesterday. "You're in the National team's home, breathing the air of football and donning the Italian kit. Players who come to the National team come with a specific culture, preparation, and pride: it's an aspect I've always emphasized in this category, where scouting ranges from Primavera to Serie C, Serie B, and Serie A. You can find players to consolidate, players who are on a growth path in Serie C, playing in a very difficult league like Serie B, and who are fortunate to already experience Serie A. Compacting all these components into one group is beautiful and rewarding, especially seeing the application of the boys."
Against Romania, the aim is to secure the fifth consecutive victory: "We are experiencing a journey of collective growth that has led us to form an excellent group and a staff made up of great expertise. Along this path, we have faced many national teams representing important federations, which do not underestimate any commitment. We want to finish this tournament on a high note." Pietro Comuzzo, a defender for Fiorentina, did not travel with the team. Like the other members of Fiorentina's youth teams and those called up to the youth National teams, he joined the 'Viola Park' where Joe Barone's wake was held.
STREAMING The match scheduled in Targoviste will be live-streamed on frf.tv, the Romanian federation's channel. Access will be free, following registration on the portal.
