In the stadium where the foundations were laid for the EURO 2020 triumph and in the city which has hosted the Azzurri on most occasions (63), the National Team are hoping for another magical night. On Friday, the three decisive days begin to decide who qualifies for EURO 2024: Italy face North Macedonia and will be able to count on the support of its fans. Two days before the match, 47,000 tickets have already been sold (capacity for the match of 60,000) and this figure is bound to increase in the next few hours.
The Family Promo for tickets in the Tevere Parterre stand is over but there are still reduced-rate tickets for Under 12s, Under 18s, Over 65s and university students.
Tickets can be purchased at Vivaticket sales points or on the figc.vivaticket.it and vivaticket.com websites.
It will be an intense evening on the pitch and in the stands, where the crowd will be involved in various activities, as happens at all National Team matches.
LIGHT SHOW AND VIVO AZZURRO LIVE. The teams’ entrance onto the pitch will be characterised by a light show, with a spectacular light show accompanied by the theme song of the National Team ‘Azzurri,’ composed and produced by Enrico Giaretta and Maurizio D’Aniello. The National Team’s social media live will return for the match.
‘Vivo Azzurro Live’ will begin at 19:45 CET, the pre-match build-up hosted by Pierluigi Pardo from the sidelines of the Stadio Olimpico together with Azzurri legends. At 20:40 CET, it will then be time for ‘Casa Azzurri Live,’ the live show hosted by Gli Autogol to follow the match together with influencers and showbiz celebrities.
SUPPORTING CORRECTLY EDUCATION PROJECT. More than 3000 children from local clubs who participate in activities with the Youth and Schooling Sector have been invited to the stadium, together with their coaches and managers, with the aim of promoting the correct way to support your team and not cheer against opponents and the referee, supported by the SGS staff. Before the match between Italy and North Macedonia, the President of the Youth and Schooling Sector, Vito Tisci will meet the clubs belonging to the Lazio Territorial Development Areas to sign the Collaboration Pact, through which the basis for a relationship of trust and sharing are laid in the Stadio Olimpico conference room.
BLIND FANS. The ADC (Audio Descriptive Commentary) system will be active on Friday evening at the Stadio Olimpico for blind fans. Twenty blind fans, invited by the FIGC along with their companions in the Monte Mario Stand, will be able to follow the game thanks to a commentator dedicated to them and a supporting platform. The system, already used in Milan for the European Qualifiers match against Ukraine and the Nations League match against England, is systematically employed by Serie clubs for home matches and from March 2024, it will be used in all of the Azzurri’s matches in Italy, following Policy 4 (Football for all abilities) of the FIGC’s sustainability strategy.
VISIT TO BAMBINO GESU HOSPITAL AND ‘SHADES OF AZZURRO.’ The Azzurri will touch down in the city as early as tomorrow. At 17:30, a delegation from the National Team will visit the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in a tradition started in 2015 which has been continued through numerous initiatives. The delegation will be headed by Coach Luciano Spalletti, together with the Head of the Delegation of the National Team, Gigi Buffon and some players. Francesco Totti will also be joining them, invited by the Coach a few days ago to join the group. The FIGC will be represented by President Gabriele Gravina. And from Sunday, the travelling ‘Shades of Azzurro’ exhibition is making its next stop in Rome at the Museo Napoleonico in Piazza di Ponte Umberto I (free entrance from 10-18:00). There will be Azzurri shirts worn by Roma and Lazio players, the balls from the 2006 World Cup final and the balls from the 1968 and 2021 European Championship finals amongst other memorabilia. Virtual reality will allow visitors to relive the 1982 World Cup final between Italy and West Germany: through a VR headset, visitors will be able to experience the feeling of being on the pitch, next to Bruno Conti, Pablito Rossi and Spillo Altobelli or from the stands next to President Pertini and King of Spain Juan Carlos.
