Oriali to remain part of National Team set-up until Euro 2020

Gabriele Oriali, who rejoined FC Internazionale Milano on Thursday, will remain committed to his National Team duties until the 2020 European Championship.
FIGC President Gabriele Gravina, who is pleased with the work carried out by Oriali over the past few years, has confirmed that the director will continue his working collaboration with Head Coach Roberto Mancini. This is in full agreement with Inter, who demonstrated utmost cooperation when contacting the FIGC.
Oriali enjoyed a long and decorated playing career, representing both Inter and Fiorentina. His honours’ list as a player includes two Scudetti and two Coppa Italia trophies with the Nerazzurri, while also scoring 43 goals in 392 Serie A appearances. Notably, he was also part of the Italy squad that triumphed at the 1982 World Cup. As for his post-playing career, he initially enjoyed spells at Solbiatese, Bologna and Parma before then returning to Inter in 1999. During his second stint with the Nerazzurri, he won five Scudetti, three Coppa Italia trophies, three Supercoppa Italiana titles and one Champions League.
He joined part of the National Team’s backroom staff back on 25 August 2014, since working with Antonio Conte, Gian Piero Ventura and Roberto Mancini. He was also Head of Delegation for the Under-21s during the 2017 European Championship in Poland.
