The players called up by Roberto Mancini are now 32 as the squad is arrived throughout the course of the day at Forte Village in Sardegna. During the training camp the players will train every day from tomorrow until Thursday, and will face San Marino in a friendly at the Sardegna Arena on Friday. Lazio defender Manuel Lazzari, who is unavailable for personal reasons, will not join the squad.
The Azzurri, this morning, received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Lazzar Spallanzani national institute for infectious diseases and at the Rozzano Humanitas Research Hospital (Milan).
After the test against San Marino, the players will have a two-day break ahead of the second stage of the training camp; nine players will be called up as the team will come together at Coverciano. After this second week of work, the Azzurri will take on the Czech Republic in Bologna on 4 June. The final squad for this summer’s Euros will be submitted before midnight on 1 June.
