The Women’s University Team is continuing at the Universiade in Naples. Thanks to Japan’s 2-1 win over the United States of America, the Azzurrine finished second in the group. Tonight at the Stadio San Mauro in Casoria, they will face DPR Korea at 21:00 CEST in the quarter-finals. North Korea won Group A and they’re one of the favourites to win the tournament. After losing in the opener to Japan, the 2-1 win over the USA thanks to Eleonora Goldoni and Martina Fusini goals proved decisive in sending Italy through. Tonight, the coach will have to make do without Inter midfielder Irene Santi, who has been ruled out for the upcoming matches.
