The Azzurri, who were yesterday drawn into Group 3 of League A, will have their first match of this latest edition of the tournament on Saturday 4 June against Germany before they host Hungary on Tuesday 7 June. These games will then be followed by two away fixtures: Saturday 11 June in England – exactly eleven months on from the EURO 2020 final – and then Tuesday 14 June in Germany.
It’s a really tough run of fixtures for the Azzurri in June as they – as well as these four UEFA Nations League fixtures – will also take on Argentina on 1 June in London in the first-ever clash between the reigning European and South American champions.
The final two Nations League group stage fixtures will take place in September: Italy host England on Friday 23 September and will finish the group with a trip to Hungary on Monday 26 September. The winner of the group will progress to the Final Four in June 2023, while the bottom-ranked side will be relegated to League B.
