National Team Head Coach Roberto Mancini pays the Azzurrini a visit in Formello

With the Italian Under-21 National Team continuing to prepare for the European Championship, a surprise was in store for the players as the Roberto Mancini, Head Coach of the National Team, paid them a visit this morning. Mancini arrived in Formello and, after spending some time with Luigi Di Biagio, greeted the squad and wished them all the best ahead of the upcoming tournament.

The news regarding Vittorio Parigini wasn’t so good: the Torino forward has been forced to leave the training camp after failing to fully recover from the injury he picked up while with his club. They will then complete their preparations at Bologna’s Niccolò Galli Training Centre in Casteldebole.

Italy have been placed in Group A and will play Spain on Sunday 16 June at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in their opening match. Their remaining two group games are against Poland (Wednesday 19 June at 21:00 CEST in Bologna) and Belgium (Saturday 22 June at 21:00 CEST in Reggio Emilia).
