Arthur Schnitzler analysed the crisis of the individual when faced with the reality of existence in his "Dream Story", however, the dream story of Moise Kean is a motivational message to all young people: why be happy with settling for one dream when you can achieve two? A young Moise loved football and music, two passions that he developed in the 2000s in Asti and have followed him all over Europe, from England to France, growing alongside him in a life journey filled with highs and lows: "I always liked being on the street with my friends, playing football and making music", he explained in his interview with Vivo Azzurro TV during the recent National Team camp.
FROM THE ORATORY TO JUVENTUS. "I used to go to the oratory, we'd play until late challenging each other in five-a-side tournaments. At some point, the priest would come and get us to leave, we'd wait for him to finish up and then go back and play. You will do anything for football". In Moise's life there have been a few key figures, his Mother Isabelle ("She was also my Father, she never gave up and is a great example to learn from"), his older Brother Giovanni, with whom he shared his first 'transfer' from the oratory pitch to the Asti youth academy. Moise never went unnoticed. The call from Torino came, and then so did the call from Juventus. He grew up wearing the Bianconero jersey right up until he reached the Primavera team, where he met one of the heroes from the 2006 World Cup. Fabio Grosso coached that team which reached the Championship final which ended in a loss to Roma on penalties.
"I remember that World Cup, I was six years old and the bar in the square was always full. I saw how much it meant to people and I said to myself that I wanted to represent Italy because I wanted the people to relive these emotions. I have always dreamt of representing the Azzurri". The dream came true but it isn't quite time to wake up yet. Moise wants to win the World Cup, but we will need his goals in order to qualify for the 2026 World Cup: "Let's hope that someone at a bar will be able to see us lift the Cup, it would be amazing".
GOALSCORING SENSATION. Moise became the first player born in the 2000s to represent the Azzurri, on 20 November 2018 when he made his debut in Genk in the friendly against the United States at the ages of 18 years and 9 months. He earned his first start in March in Udine, marking the occasion with a goal against Finland and becoming the second youngest goalscorer in Azzurri history after Bruno Nicolé. Moise is used to fast tracking his career, as he moved to Everton for nearly €30 million in the Summer of 2019. His first season in the Premier League wasn't straightforward, as he ended the season with just two goals: "It was a good experience in England even if it didn't go as planned. But, you can learn from everything and come out from the difficult moments". Moise did so in brilliant fashion as he shone in Paris in one of the best sides in the world. He scored 17 goals and won the French Super Cup and Coupe de France: "The experience abroad opened my eyes, I feel lucky enough to have played with so many great players like Mbappé, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo".
After playing in England and France, it was time to come back to Italy, where it all began. He moved to Juventus, where he won two Scudetti, one Supercoppa Italiana and a Coppa Italia - but he didn't manage to showcase all of his talent. Just like that, with another Coppa Italia under his belt, he moved to Fiorentina last summer. It was love at first sight in Firenze as Moise rediscovered his goalscoring form, scoring 16 goals in the league and 21 in all competitions in 35 appearances. A call-up to the National Team was inevitable. His form continued in the match against Germany on 23 March with his brace which nearly helped the side to an epic comeback. Following the match in Dortmund, Luciano Spalletti praised the forward ("We've found a fighter, he has courage and personality") "The National Team is filled with great young players, I'm playing with a lot of players that I played in the Under 21 side with. The Coach gives us confidence, he believes in us. We can do great things".
THE CHOSEN ONE. Football and music complement each other, two ways to show your artistic talent: "I've always liked music - Kean explained to Vivo Azzurro TV - there's always been sport and music in my family. I've dreamt of making music and releasing my own music". Kean released his first album 'Chosen' in December. "I wanted to send a message to young people: if you're able to do great things, why don't you? I write at home after training and when I am travelling. It calms me down and makes me happy".
