One year on from the Nations League Final stages, the First Team return to Milan as the Giuseppe Meazza hosts Italy vs England in the penultimate UEFA Nations League game in Group 3 on Friday 23 September, kick-off at 20:45 CEST. 35,000 tickets have already been sold with supporters still able to buy them online at figc.vivaticket.it and vivaticket.com, and Vivaticket allocated sales points.

As in previous games involving the Azzurri, the FIGC has once again confirmed its popular pricing policy, with tickets available from €10, reserved for families, young people and Over 65s.

National Anthems. The soprano Carly Paoli will have the honour of singing live both national anthems prior to kick-off. The singer, born in Nottinghamshire to an English father and Italian mother, will perform “God Save the King” and “Fratelli d’Italia". Paoli, who was brought up between Lecce in Italy and Wiltshire in England, performed in front of the Azzurri last year in Belfast for the game between Italy and Northern Ireland (0-0).

Fan Match. The game at the Meazza between Italy and England will be preceded by a Fan Match between both sets of supporters. They will face each other at 14:00 CEST on Friday 23 September at 'Centro Sportivo U.S. Triestina 1946' (via Alessandro Fleming 13, Milan).

The First Team playing in Milan. Milan will host the First Team for the 60th time, with the first-ever game dating back to 15 May 1910 at the Arena Civica (Italy vs. France 6-2). The Lombard capital was also the setting for the Azzurri to wear for the first time ever the famous Blue Azzurri shirt (against Hungary in 1911 with a Savoy stitched shield on the breast after a white shirt was worn during their early internationals). It has been a successful home with 37 wins, 19 draws and only three defeats. Milan is second to Rome (62) for having hosted the most number of games for the First Team, and for the most number of victories (37, again behind Rome who has 38, followed by Turin with 25). The Azzurri have scored the most number of times in the city (140, followed by Rome, 115, and Turin, 83). The average points won per game is 2.20. The famous fashion city has hosted more friendly games than competitive ones (36 out of 59), and it played host to one Azzurri game in the 1934 World Cup and European Championships in 1980. Finally, two Nations League games have been played there (one being the Final Four semi-final defeat to Spain last October).
