Mancini at work on Monday and Tuesday at Coverciano for a training camp with the U19 National Team

The National Team’s Coach, Roberto Mancini, will lead an U19 training camp which will take place on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 February at the Federal Training Centre at Coverciano. The camp’s aim is to accelerate the growth of young Italian talents towards the top teams, to encourage an exchange of experiences and skills between the coaches of the national youth teams and to transfer to the whole Italian National Club the enthusiasm that has characterised the Head Coach’s work in his first two years.
This first gathering, which will be followed by others in future, will see 29 players from the Alberto Bollini’s U19 National Team called up. The team will play the elite qualifying phase of the European Championships in Veneto from 25 to 31 March with matches against Norway, Iceland and Slovenia (all three will be broadcast live on RaiSport).
Alongside Mancini, there will be the National Team’s staff, the U19 team’s staff, youth national team coordinator Maurizio Viscidi, and the coaches of the Azzurri teams involved in the main international competitions: Paolo Nicolato (U21), Daniele Franceschini (U20), Bernardo Corradi (U18) and Carmine Nunziata (U17). The programme includes two training sessions: Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, after which the players will immediately return to their home teams.
