After Cesare Casadei as the best player and top-scorer and Sebastiano Desplanches as the best goalkeeper of the U-20 World Cup, now Luis Hasa. The Under 19 European Championship winning midfielder was voted as the player of the tournament: Another big piece of recognition for Italy, who, thanks to victory over Italy, won the U-19 Euros for the first time in 20 years.
Hasa was brought off the bench in the 4-0 win against Malta, he started and provided an assist in the 5-1 defeat to Portugal three days later. The 19-year-old midfielder then scored the equalising goal in the last Group A match against Poland, which took Italy into second place, and then played his best game of the tournament by serving two assists in the 3-2 win over Spain in the semi-finals. Finally, in the final, Hasa set up another goal with a precise left-footed cross for Michael Kayode's winning strike.
Hasa has also been included by UEFA in the Under-19 European Championship's best XI, which also includes Azzurri defenders Filippo Missori and Alessandro Dellavalle. Completing the best XI are four players from Portugal, three from Spain and one from Norway.
