Italy Men’s Head Coach Luciano Spalletti is one of FIFA’s three candidates for the best coach in men’s football for 2023. The winner of The Best FIFA Men’s Coach will be announced on 15 January in London. Also up for the award are Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Simone Inzaghi (Inter Milano).

Nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, meanwhile, are Jonatan Giraldez (Barcelona), Emma Hayes (Chelsea) and Sarina Wiegman (England Women’s National Team). As is tradition, the decision will be made per a vote involving the head coaches and captains in international football, as well as journalists and fans.

The award takes into account performance in the period from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023.
